    I've always enjoyed reading this website, even if it is a lot of hyperbole. The rather scathing critiques of the webmaster have made me LOL more than a few times.

    While I do like the statue, I must agree. If this was truly Christan project then they could have shown some Christan charity and built a homeless shelter, or something or other.

    Rather a giant Jesus then a mosque but then again: who came up with this heinous idea of spending a fortune on an ugly statue towering out over a Polish town with little to no significance which completely ruins the landscape when there are much more beautiful monuments to celebrate their heritage like Częstochowa ? Couldn't they spend the money on updating and renovating that complex instead and adding another monastery to it ?

    I am not quite sure whether Jesus himself would have appreciated this non-sense. And I think I already know the answer.
