his jaw is much too massive.
Looks very French. Surname is also of Old French origin:

Genetic lottery made the unthinkable happen: that few percent of French ancestry he has WAY back in his bloodline expressed itself fully.

Of course there is. Don't listen to people that have never even set foot in Ireland.

Just off the top of my head here are a few.

Here's one of the Wexford GAA teams. Wexford is in the south-east of Ireland and Galway is in the West in Connacht.

All the girls are from the same camogie team in Galway. I can post loads of Irish examples if people want. People don't want to believe that the populations are all quite similar despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Some people do not know what they are talking about. The Irish are not some oddity believe it or not.

And of course you know the genetics so there is no reason why there is going to be great differences in phenotype despite what some on here try to push.

I'm not sure of what motives people have but I'll put it down to lack of knowledge instead of being deliberately deceitful.

As for Wexford area has had English settlers since medieval times (which makes Germanic faces hardly surprising). There was even an English dialect/language there that directly descended from Middle English:

My opinion: 95% of Irish can pass as English, whereas only 70% of English can pass as Irish. The reasons for this asymmetry aren't just Germanic influence, but also a definitely more brunet segment in England (lots of people with dark hair and eyes)

I think certain Keltic, North Atlantid and Brunn blends are really the only exclusive phenotype in the UK.

The base of the English DNA is akin to Ireland's DNA, but England has input Ireland does not have. With that said, parts of Ireland have more British influence than others and will be closer to Scotland especially, but also England.

That is just rural england & Ireland. Once you get into Urban populations it is even closer. That saying, you could say Birmingham was like 30% South Asian now. Maybe going other way.

I will add this: I think Scottish people look slightly more English than Irish, though I can barely tell English from Irish.

Scottish people look like the English, if on a bad diet and hit by a lack of vitamin D and strong winds.
