No flower for Normandy, this is way too sentimental. We are baddass, we have leopards :

When Normandy was cut in two half by french governement, until 2016, the lower had for emblem this which is a piece of drakkar meaning "we lack our other part which is Upper Normandy" :

While Upper Normandy had this one which is one leopard (the other one is absent to represent the lower Normandy separated) and I guess the water represents our Seine river or the sea.

Nowadays we also have non official flags we recognize though like the Saint-Olaf flag of Normandy (for me the best is the combined original flag with this one) or also that drakkar with the N of Normandy which is the separatist movement emblem.

This isn't a violet. What you have posted is a violet-coloured flower.

The Greek flower is the Viola odorata. It is a violet plant and its flowers are also violet-coloured. I put this down to a case of "lost in translation".
