Very little people in the city have weapons but in the countryside it's a gunfest, all the farmers and billies have at least one, i believe it's at least on par with the US. As a kid when i was visiting neighbour's homes in the village, the first things i was looking for were the shotguns hooked on people's walls. Some register weapons for hunting but most aren't i think, that's why diversity doesn't really go forfeit too much in the countryside.
