Some of the architecture of Sicily resembles that of southern Spain and North Africa. You find it mostly in the west of the island. Things like this:

Some seaside villages make you think of North Africa:

And then other elements like ceramics and pottery:

in pratica solo le strade strette . non so quanto i saraceni abbiano effettivamente contribuito nella costruzione della "mappa" di quella città ma le stradine sono presenti in quasi tutte le "città vecchie" , ci sono anche a bari ...e dubito che sia colpa dei saraceni (in quanto l'emirato di bari durò soltanto per una trentina di anni)

as far as i remember the swabian fredrick II loved arab culture .. he is the reason you find in southern italy "romano-arab" architecture. he must have loved the arabic style

and these might be built during the norman period too. many buildings built by arabs have either been destroyed during the wars or just left to perish or modified

Arabs controlled part or all Sicily from 652 to 1071 so +400 years

This is why you see mixed architecture not because only a king liked it.

Hi, if you wanna talk about Arab architecture in Sicily go ahead, no problems but if you plan to troll you already lost just know this.
Also you should do some Math lessons. The Emirate lasted from 831? 948? until 1072 not really 400 years. Before that there were raids.
