Seeing that Bosniaks are one of the most hated European nations today, looks like there is a several millenia-long tradition of this hatred.

I remember reading about a Roman author though, who said that the reason why Roman writers had such a horrible opinion about Illyrians was that Illyrian was one of their most difficult conquests. Even after the conquest, it was the Roman Province with the most rebellions.

Slavs are the meat.
Illyrians = pork (a subcategory of meat)
Thracians = beef (a subcategory of meat)
Celts is the salt.

However I doubt about Celts. The westerners seem to only promote celticness where they have no control and try to get a grip on those lands. Where they do have control they have suppressed the Celtic element beyond repair.

So basically the balkans and whole central, eastern, northern and southern europe used to be a slavic land.
