I am a beginner and have no experience in playing except sometimes against the computer for fun

the first few I fucked up and clicked a bit without giving much attention

my Elo rating is 1163 . how is that ?

I played a small amount in 7th grade math class, which would be about 7-8 years ago now. That's how I learned the basics. I think that is the only time I have played chess on semi-consistent basis. I havent touched it in years but still remember the rules.

I generally cant make myself play games that dont have people in them either. Dont know if you feel the same way. My brother used to force me to play dota with him and his friends for example. Boring with a capital B, and hurt my head.

I never really learned serious level chess play growing up. Just played occasionally every now and then with some random people socially. I did buy a computer chess program as a teenager though (I believe it was "Chessmaster") and could never compete with the expert computer program no matter how many times I tried
