Default Role of R1a Carriers in Formation of Proto-Germanic Tribes

When the Indo-Europeans were interacting with the indigenous Mesolithic I1 Europeans to form the Germanic tribes, how much inter-mixing was there between the two populations?

Was there heavy inter-marriage, or was it only a transfer of culture?

And how many genes do the current day I1 carriers have from the Indo-Europeans?

If there was heavy inter-marriage, does this mean that I1 carriers were essentially Indo-Europeanised?

Wasn't R1a a dominant lineage in the Corded Ware culture, which was at least partially responsible for the formation of proto-Germanics?

Both proto-Balto-Slavic Corded Ware R1as and proto-Italo-Celtic Bell Beaker R1bs Indo-Europeanized I1s, that is why Germanic oscillates between Italo-Celtic and Balto-Slavic.

R1a-L664 (your Y-DNA) and R1a-Z284 are two subclades of R1a which strongly correlate with Germanic-speakers. Both originate from Western and North-Western parts of Corded Ware culture. In the west it extended to the Rhine and to Norway in the north-west.

Those aren't indigenous to the north, but came at best in Late Neolithic, just a tad before IE.
