It's pretty much legal anyways, the Crown wont even see a case of use, only mass distribution. I'm going down to the liquor store on commercial and broadway today, there will be about 50 police and you can smell the pot the second you get off the train, a guy can smoke a joint right in front of a cop and they wont do a thing about it.

There are hundreds of weed vending machines in BC, no one cares.

Reason who it's taking so long worldwide to get legalised is because it has a strong smell and potheads come off as dumbasses.

Otherwise, the least of my worries. I don't indulge in it. Like I said, I value my lungs and hate the smell.

Cannabis vending machines?! I've never heard of or ever seen that before. If someone was to smoke cannabis next to a copper in the UK, they'd be either warned, fined, or prosecuted for it.

When Scottish Gordon Brown took over as the UK leader (nobody elected him to be the UK leader) of the Labour Party and became the highly unpopular UK Prime Minister, he instructed the UK Government's Department of Health to review the safety of cannabis.

Professor David Nutt was the chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), and he stated that cannabis is less harmful than the legal drugs tobacco and alcohol. He was backed and supported by senior scientists and by some politicians.

That wasn't the news Mr. Brown and his Home Secretary wanted to hear - so they had Professor Nutt removed after putting pressure on him to resign http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...s-1812255.html which caused some outrage amongst cannabis smokers and within the Department of Health too.

After the removal of Professor Nutt, Gordon Brown then removed cannabis from being classified as a Class C illegal drug and elevated it into the official list of being a more dangerous Class B drug.

Mr. Brown said to the media, 'We have to get the message out to people that dangerous substances are being sold on the streets.' (The point of legislation would prevent dodgy mixes being sold on the streets here.)

Because cannabis is now officially a Class B drug in the UK, http://www.aleretoxicology.co.uk/en/...fications.html prison sentences for being in possession of cannabis on a person in the UK is an limited fine or/and 5 years in prison, and up to 14 years in jail for supplying or producing it.

It makes no sense that alcohol and caffeine are legal to buy and they kill more people than cannabis does. Tobacco kills people and it's legal. Cannabis doesn't just have to be burned and smoked though.... it can be vaped in a vapouriser, consumed in tea or in marijuana cake.

Steroids and benzodiazepines are classified in the UK as Class C drugs, yet cannabis is legally classified as Class B and as being more dangerous. Steroids and benzodiazepines have killed more people than cannabis ever has, so I think their classification categories should be the other way around.

I've seen news reports showing groups of police breaking into peoples properties where cannabis plants are being grown and where they're supplying it illegally to people on the street in small bags. They use undercover police to catch them and showed police helicopters with special sensors that were flying around a person's home in Birmingham and the police knew there was cannabis in the property before they raided it.

I personally dislike cannabis (especially the smell of it,) but I don't think people should be prosecuted for it if they like it. I think legislation would be a good idea for the reasons stated in my previous post. Alcoholics often behave far worse than pot smokers.

I hate the smell of cannabis too. My neighbours smoke that stuff and it makes me feel sick.

Good news, go Trudeau. In France, only Benoît Hamon, the Socialist candidate at the presidential election, was in favor of legalization.

Like everyone said, it's pretty much legal in Canada. There's dispensaries everywhere and no one really cares. A lot of them pretend to be medical, but everyone knows they're mainly recreational.

Thus a victory for all right thinking people everywhere. Now to extend legalization to all drugs (as it was prior to the 20th century) and prostitution.

I eat cannabis brownies about once a year for recreational and religious (Mahashivaratri) reasons. Brownies don't affect the respiratory system, and once they are cooked, I don't have to worry about them being detected by neighbors or law enforcement.
