It's basically legal anyways, especially in BC, judges will throw out anything that isn't some massive selling operation dealing in huge quantities.

I used to get into debates on YT about the legislation of marijuana as I was against it once.
But I changed my mind after reading the arguments put forth by those who are for legislation.
Just because I don't like cannabis, it doesn't mean I wish to stop others from using it.
Legislation will:
- Put dodgy street sellers and street gangsters out of business.
- Will stop dangerous substances from being mixed and sold on the streets
- Is non-addictive and could prevent people from using harder and more addictive drugs
- Medical marijuana is apparently a less addictive form of pain relief for cancer patients than being medically prescribed with stronger opiate based painkillers.
- Unlike alcohol (which is legal,) marijuana hasn't killed anyone, (except through smoking it with tobacco which can affect the lungs, but other methods can be used, such as using a vapouriser, cannabis cake and tea, etc.)
- Alcohol and caffeine in coffee, tea, and pepsi are legal (caffeine is addictive and is defined as a powerful drug:https://www.google.co.uk/#q=is+caffeine+a+drug) and alcohol and caffeine kills plenty of people every year. How many deaths has there ever been from cannabis?
- Cannabis does not make people violent, but chilled and relaxed. Alcohol on the other hand can make some people volatile, rape people whilst drunk, and get into fights. Drink-drivers kill people every week. Driving under the influence of cannabis should also be illegal.
- If it was legalised, then a bar code on the packaging of products sold can help the police to trace the seller if it's sold to underage people.
- It would free-up prison space for more serious criminals. In the UK, murderers, rapists, paedophiles, etc, are released early due to lack of prison space.
- If the police weren't chasing after people for what they want to put in their own body (a person could drink bleach or take an overdose of pills if they wanted to commit suicide and it wouldn't be a crime).... and should spend more time looking for real criminals instead.
