Why do Europeans Look so Similar?

In my country it is possible to see many different types of appearances. Many people here have dark hair and blue or green eyes and others have red hair and blue eyes or blonde hair and blue/green eyes.

However when I watched Russian films I saw that there are some Russians who could easily walk down the street in Scotland and there would be no way to tell that they were not locals. Likewise a Russian once told me that he could easily mistake me for Russian.

This can be said about many different European countries.

It is universal all around Europe. There are some in northern Europe who could easily fit in Greece or Spain and then there are Greeks who could easily look Norwegian.

Probably the same reason why most Africans and Asians look fairly the same for the untrained eye. And those two continents are way bigger than Europe. Culturally wise Europe is probably the most diverse and rich of all continents, regarding looks it seems pretty diverse as well for such a small continent.

i don't think europeans look similar to each other. the frequency with which north europeans can fit in south europe is the same one of west asian fitting in south europe..or even less
