The Germans, Celts and Slavs are described as specific tribal groups by Greek and Latin authors. EVERYTHING about their tribal origins and their movements is known for the past 3500 years because it is recorded in literature.

When using the term Germanic I am using Tacitus definition of who they were in his time NOT who you think they are now since today the people of Germany are mixed with the Celts whose land the seized.

In respect of the Slavs I am referring to Cyril and Methoditus historic account and not to the Poles or Croats of today who are of nearly 50/50 of mixed Slav and Germanic linages, and in respect of the Celts I am using Apollonius historic account of who the were an not to any modern mixed lineages.

The inhabitants of Greece were already of mixed lineages since Minoan times 5000 years ago so reference to them by the terms Pelasgians, Xuthians, Aeolians etc is required when referring to the colonisations which occurred during this and the Mycenaean period.

I can say that Germanic people (personally) and with character and everything are completely alien to me.
Their selfishness, arrogance and cultural primitivism (in the sense of hospitality) is very far from me.

We keep our family close while Germans do not. Their hunger for power, money and technology has made them look like a Beasts.

I don't see anything in our people that could be classified "Germanic", even if we were Germans we wouldn't be the poorest yet oldest people in Europe.

I must admit that I have no knowledge of Germans, I've always seen Germanic tribes: Franks, Lombards, Burgindians, etc.. as foreigners on European soil just like Turks and Vikings.
I've always seen Europe as a Hellenic Civilization that incorporated Celts, Balkanites and some North Africans in it, that's all.

I've always taught that Germans as well as Slavs came from Asia somewhere.

I've always considered Celts, Illyrians, Thracians, Dacians, Hellenes and Romans as distant cousins to each other while Germanic tribes like complete foreigners from Asia.

Maybe I am wrong, as I said I have no knowledge of Germanics.

I wonder how many were Normans and how many were people from different backgrounds signing up as mercenaries. Often times the leadership is what defines the rest of the army. Even the Norman conquest of England - while the majority where Normans - had significant number of other Frenchmen (Gascons, for example) and some Germans.
