Herrick said he's made reports 50 times to Grindr and 14 to police

Yes. I've been jealous of women my whole life for this exact reason. The fact that women don't acknowledge or appreciate it annoys me even more.

I don't think that receiving a load of unwanted harrassment from unwanted people is a 'privilege' at all, but an absolute nuisance. (Anyone who's been followed while walking outside, or harrassed with unwanted texts, calls, etc, by obsessive people know it's a nuisance and nothing to envy.)

The poor victim is not 'privileged' for going through all this unwanted harrassment at his work and home and he's described his experience as a living nightmare for him.

All those strangers who turned-up uninvited at his personal home address and work may not have even been desirable types.

They could've been old drunkards, very obese, or some very ugly people who he's just not attracted to, or some unwashed person, or some nutcase, etc.... so what's for men to 'envy' if he's being harrassed by desperate men who he's not interested in from a dating site?! (They've got to be desperate if his fake profiles claimed that he has HIV - or maybe they don't care about that and could have HIV themselves.)

Pretty shoddy of the police and dating site to have not put a stop to it after he took the time to make 50 complaints to the police and 14 complaints to the dating site.

He may already be in a loving and happy relationship with someone which could've caused problems in his relationship.

Whichever obsessive and disturbed person was behind creating all those malicious false accounts revealing his personal home address, photo, work address, etc, to strangers (who he misled too in pretending he was interested in them,) should be banned by law from using the internet again for abusing the internet services to cause harm or a nuisance to others.

When the police identify the pathetic coward who created all the false accounts of him, they should be prosecuted and jailed for illegally revealing his personal details without his permission and consent, and publicly shown and named and shamed in the media themself, so other men will be wary and cautious to avoid dating such a malicious, disturbed, and spiteful swine with issues who wouldn't like the same treatment done back to him.
