This is neither some super fancy word, nor pośledni is an antiquated one like lt's say birbant - (English carouser).
It's possibly more of a literary word these days, but you can come across this word in collocations like ''towar pośledniej jakości'' - ''an inferior quality product''. It's pretty common actually.
Apparently till the 15th century pośledni meant exactly the same as this contemporary Czech adjective -poslední. From the sixteenth century, the meaning shifts from pośledni as in 'last, being at the end' to pośledni 'inferior, substandard', for example the inferior place, the inferior wine.
