My husband and I went out one evening with some friends of ours to a pub and she had a tongue piercing. I asked if I could kiss her because I don't know what it is like to kiss someone with a tongue piercing. He was sitting on my right and she was sitting on my left. He also wanted to know what it felt like so they leaned over me and kissed. There were some other people in the pub whom we knew and they were staring at this situation with eyes as big as saucers.
In general, I don't have a problem with it but as I said, it is situation dependent. He doesn't equate sex (or any sexual activity) with love or affection (the same as me). I know him well. If he was kissing someone I know it would be for fun in the moment without any emotional attachment.
