    I think it varies from person to person depending on what your body type is and what your goals are. For example I've needed to add bulk so I focus on compound lifts (clean and press, squat, deadlift, bench press) in addition to supplementary body weight work (chins, pull-ups, core exercises). Looking good naked doesn't matter to me as much as having functional strength for what I need to do (although it's an added bonus).

    Flat bench, military, chinups, seated row ,curls and squats
    That's all i do now 3 times a week(heavy, medium, low days)5 sets each exercise.
    Sometimes i throw in some facepulls for shoulder health.
    Bodyweight exercises are good but why you guys are limiting yourself.

    --Twice a week you do HIIT sprints for 20-30 mins

    all this deadlift, bench press nonesense will do more damage to your back and give you that uptight posture and gait that all Gymcels have...

    That's what I was saying but I include team sports as well. It should be noted in the past (80s and before) professional athletes on team sports didn't focus much on working out like they do today. The difference is noticeable in that athletes on team sports today have longer careers. You were pretty much at retirement age at 30 in hockey during the 70s. Now players retire well into their 30s.
