The mountains are beautiful, but the steppes get my vote because it reminds me of home. The steppes are so diverse. Semi-desert, desert, grasslands, wide open spaces.

Not steppes per se. But it is very diverse. You only need to travel 400km either side and you have everything from a Mediterranean climate with beautiful mountains and forests, to desert, semi-desert, flat grasslands and even tropical forests.

I love the wide open spaces, with nothing in sight. The world just carries on and on and on.......
