Tourism a disgusting industry to encourage barbarians

here is the infographic of Greek tourism. You will note, the barbarians are actually 300% of the native population. I am not sure this number is sustainable for the locals.

Greece needs to raise prices during 3rd qtr every year to only attract the best of the best of barbarians and not the dregs of society

This isn't the 19th century. Do you want to be a modern competitive nation or do you want be a nation where anyone with potential leaves for a place with better opportunities and is subject to the political whims of nations with better economies? You work with what you have. The Japanese only had silk worms in the late 19th century and built from there. Greece has a popular tourist industry and so you take advantage of what brings in wealth.

Greece is owned by Germany now - what bloody economy? They forced Greece to sell all its airports to Germans at the lowest bid to appease scumballs. Greece can do better than this - it actually performed vastly better as an insulated economy. This liberal economy is not good for my home country it does not suit and pray something is done.

No country has ever done well as an insular economy. There is no nation that is able to meet every need of its population.

Not all economies are equal - Greece performs best as an insulate economy. History speaks for itself.

I respect your opinion, but hospitality is a norm for Greece and Greek people always liked and were hospitable to "barbarians"

I don't know your experience with tourism, and what kind of tourists visit your area (either in Australia where you live or in the part of Greece where you are from) but most of Greeks really like tourists and this kind of occupation, it's part of our mentality

Agree. I am ashamed Croatia's main industry is tourism, such a pathetic and servant like branch typical for the third world.

I hope we will get back at agriculture and industry.
