Gedmatch Argentine kits results

I have been gathering a lot of Argentine gedmatch kits lately. I have around 100 right now.

Below Eurogenes K15 results in an european PCA plot. I only used the Argentines scoring low amerindian (0-8%) because the amerindian would shift them towards the east in this map



Opinions? I will post more Argentine GEdmatch results in this thread later

i finally included all the k15 results in an excel and can now make averages. In this map i included the position of the average "white" argentine scoring over 85% caucasian (around 93% caucasian on average). This average has more people in consideration (85-90% caucasian added)

It must be mentioned that around a third of the sample comes from adopted Argentines who are using governament aid to find their parents (i have seen their page in the web thanks to their emails) so this sample shouldnt be taken as a wealthy sample. The sample has people from Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Cordoba, San Luis, Entre Rios, Chaco, Santiago del Estero, Mendoza and Chubut.

There are some things i dont understand about the map, for example the guy Iñaki he has a basque surname, his closest match in eurogenes k15 is spain , but then he appears aas north italian i the map

Somebody told me Flor is an albanian. That happens because she scores 7% amerindian. She is probably a Tuscan and the 7% amerindian drags her towards the right.

Can you post his admix?

Surely he has North Italian origins too, it is easy to guess.

i checked my argentine 23andme chart (because i also had him in 23andme) and he claims half basque half north italian so you are right. I forgot he was part italian.

Makes sense then, you can roughly model N.Italy as half Basque half central Italian in admixture.

I think the reason why so many cluster in north italy is because the sample is heavily mixed with differnt european groups.

For example i remember we had an argentine in the forum (rausch) who was part german, part ukranian, part calabrian. Maybe that guy would plot in north italy even when he is 0% north italian.
