Why is my stomach permatanned?

In the winter most of my body looks pale. Except for my stomach. It has a stereotypical Latina color to it. I don't even go out of my way to tan. But it seems like my stomach tans anyways and it still looks tan in the winter.

And this when you want to be pale. That has to suck to need to have be tan to have a uniform skin.

I'm not even dark, but an uneven tan runs in my family.
