Default The biggest difference between Luzon and Visayas from a phenotype standpoint

Indian ancestry seems to be more prevalent in Luzon then anywhere else...is it due to the unusually high australoid levels found there?? I dont know...but a trip through the slums of rizal, and you feel like your in the middle of india.

Is this guy from india or manila??

In Visayas, its a even level of malay and malay-chinese phenotypes. In cebu the amount of malay-chinese admixture seems the highest.

Malay with 25% chinese In Cebu

    Malay phenotype in Visayas/mindanao

It depends on the location, Cainta Rizal near Manila has a lot of Indian admixture due to the Sepoy soldiers who rebelled against the British who attacked and they settled and married Filipinas there.

Likewise, did you know that in Cebu their people are actually partially Indian? Their King, "RAJAH" Sri Lumay used to be from Sumatra and he was half-Tamil, plenty of Cebuanos are partially Indian looking, including several of my friends.

People from Iloilo are more pure Austronesian-looking though.

An actually the term, Visayan comes from the Sanskrit "Srivijaya", meaning "Shining Victory".

Everybody knows South East Asian culture has minor indian influence....I am talking about from a racial standpoint.

In my trip to Cebu...the most common phenotypes I saw were malay looking, second most common was east asian looking.

Its totally different in manila...when we drove through rizal...I thought we were in india...the australoid features of the people there were through the roof

What strikes me...is even if someone was 75% malay and 25% east asian, like kriesha tiu...they still end up looking east asian

Selurong, where are there more Filipinos with significant Spanish admixture? I imagine Luzon somewhere, but not sure which cities/towns.

I'm going there pretty soon. It will be interesting to see the different phenotypes there. I'm interested in the Philippines Spanish history and Spanish influence on the culture. It would be interesting to see some flips (lol Hawaiian way to call Filipinos) with some significant Spanish ancestry.
