??? Mikula we are talking about the real situation in CzR. You are giving thanks - well - but it has nothing in common with situation in CzR.
I am real Czech so I will not giving thanks to a charade - the US army was prepare to liberate CzR - they were waiting there and they wasn't allowed to do nothing...

Giving thanks - War memorials in Czech towns are decorated by flowers and wraiths, every year in May.
In Plzeň it is a War Memorial dedicated to US Army in most of another towns are decorated War memorials dedicated to Soviet Army.

Communism - well, in the case that US Army will liberated whole area of our country, the postwar political situation will be different in our country.
It is also true that Patton wished to march more to east but the political leaders did not allow him to continue, because was an agreement with Soviets about the demarcation line. Anyway whaen Americans reached Plzeň, the whole area of Slovakia and large areas of Moravia and Silesia were liberated by Soviet and Romanian forces, already. It means that in the case that US troops will marched more to east, they can reach the prague and perhaps more than half of Bohemia. Anyway, unlike Poland or Hungary our country had a chance to avoid communism. Finland and Austria had worse conditions for it but succeed.
