Look how they put their gulf all around our ships!

Monday, the USS Mahan fired a flare to warn off an Iranian patrol boat, 1,000 meters away. Supposedly, this was a provocation. But Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif had a point when he tweeted:

“Breaking: Our Navy operates in — yes, correct — the Persian Gulf, not the Gulf of Mexico. Question is what US Navy doing 7,500 miles from home.”

"We're going to take out seven countries in five years." Running late, but still on the agenda, with Iran the final target in the region.

But Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif had a point when he tweeted:

“Breaking: Our Navy operates in — yes, correct — the Persian Gulf, not the Gulf of Mexico. Question is what US Navy doing 7,500 miles from home.”

lol... the Iranians think that because the body of water to their south is called the Gulf of Persia or Persian Gulf, that they own it. Wrong. If they want to claim it as their own perhaps they should change the name of their country back to Persia for official international purposes... lol

The Iranians get very emotional when people call "their" gulf the Arabian Gulf or even simply The Gulf. They should realise that the more they react, the more people will do it. Want to have some fun? Try for yourself and watch them cry. All of their mouthing off is actually a sign of serious weakness.
