I don't have a dog but my sis did an Embark dog DNA test for her dog and these were her dog's breed mix results:

50.0% Rottweiler

25.7% Beagle

24.3% Basset Hound

My brother bought one of these dog DNA tests for our aunt & uncle who have a dog that looks almost like a big Chihuahua. Turns out, it actually haa very little Chihuahua in it, just a strange combo of uncommon breeds.

My brother bought one of these dog DNA tests for our aunt & uncle who have a dog that looks almost like a big Chihuahua. Turns out, it actually haa very little Chihuahua in it, just a strange combo of uncommon breeds.

The animal shelter where my sis and her hubbie bought their dog claimed the dog as a "Rottweiler+Beagle+Basset-Hound" mix of some type....and the DNA results simply confirmed and validated what the peepz at the dog shelter told them. The only reason for them wanting to test was to make sure it was in fact true.

Took quite a while for them to receive the results btw, I believe my sis told me like 4-5 months!

This test does seem interesting for real mutts

Could we see a photo of this Rottweiler/Beagle/Basset Hound? I want to see our classification experts beat each other up about whether the dog looks more Beagle or more Basset. Heaven forbid a troll enters the thread and calls "mops"!!!!

Dogs dont really care about this stuff. Its useless. It only important from medical standpoint maybe. Dogs dont build identities around ancestry. Only about whos in your pack and who takes care of you ect.
