Kielland asked me why I didn't put my hometown Rijeka/Fiume on the list (it is Croatian third largest city). Simply because I think, it isn't as beautiful as these, Rijeka is Croatian largest port and former industrial powerhouse, it's quite gritty and ''heavy'' place even though architecture is perhaps the richest in the country. Rijeka has serious charisma but this thread is more about traditionally ''pretty'' towns

Well, Dubrovnik is mediterranean-styled city. I selected both southern and central European cities for this because Panonnian Croatia tends to be overlooked in comparison with the coast, despite it has some real jewels architectualy and historically.
I enjoy both styles even though they're quite different. Such combination makes Croatia special.

From the pics, Dubrovnik. What about Novigrad (Witcher 3)?

I tought about adding Novigrad to the list, in the end left it out because it's small. It's a very pretty town

The list isn't perfect ofcourse. It more of subjective selection than anything else.

I've been in various parts of Croatia.
Most exciting place in my experienced is obviously Zagreb.
Novigrad and Poreč are nice but quite small.
Dubrovnik: don't know, I've heard it's stunningly beautiful but I haven't been there.

Besides I have very cool memories of both Zadar and Karlovac. Middle-sized towns with a refreshing feeling of both elegance and relaxation.

Oh yes. We have similar differences in France but on a much larger area.
In Croatia, taking the road from Senj to join the highway heading to Zagreb makes you feel like you've been travelling from Spain to Slovakia in less than one hour. Amazing.

Summer time in croatia is beautiful. It beats mainstream southern euro countries IMO like greece and spain. Split especially for beaches

I'm so happy you mentioned Karlovac, because barely any foreigners sees it Thank you for input, it's a really good compariosn with contrasts France offers just on much smaller area.
Dubrovnik is most beautiful but it's Disenyland like and too tourisity. You had better chance to see real Croatia in towns you visited

Split has by far best beaches out of all Dalmatian cities. Only Pula in Northern Adriatic offers similar. I'm glad you liked Croatia!

This kind of harsh insults on personal level without any reason what so ever cannot be tolerated, Man, nothing personal but this warrants 7 year ban. Maybe you will spend that time wisely to think about your life decisions and who you insult on the interwebz.
