An Abu-Dhabi based firm plans to tow icebergs from Antarctica to the United Arab Emirates to provide the arid gulf state with fresh drinking water in a scheme that could begin at the start of 2018.

Well, water is more valuable than oil here considering that there are no natural rivers or lakes in most of Arabia like those found in Egypt, China and so on.

I remember about this idea since 1990's. Main problematics are the ice liquefy and a plastic bag to involve whole iceberg.
