I stumbled in an interesting post lost in the Beautiful Women thread, and thought to expand it.

I share the comment by Agrippa. In Italy Sardinia is certainly the best source for classic and satysfig ''Mediterranean/Gracil Mediterranean'' examples. And I've noticed the beauty of Sardinean girls before.
Wiki page in Italian

my translation of the list of characteristics
* High frequency of congenital dermal spots in childhood;
* apparently a different (reduced) used of facial muscles in the expression (compared to other S.Italians)
Smile on legendary footballer Zola
* Absence of Bloodgroup CW (as in Basques);
* dolicocephaly;
* dominace of brunette eye and hair pigmentation;
* peculiar local carachteristics of the fingerprints;
* peculiar alterations in the Hematopoiesis (formation of blood cellular components)
These characteristics are less dominant in the north part in the island,maybe showing a differentiation happened before the Bronze Age.
average height,weight and cephalic index are growing in the island,especially in it's capital Cagliari.
Folk traditional Sardinean costumes and the make-up, enhance the beauty of these girls in the best way possible.
This pic enhances two typical female types:
on the left a fine featured, long faced and small mouthed girl, and on the right a somehow broader faced, broader mouthed and broader nosed type.
This second type is even more enhance in this girl below, more ''Alpine'' looking which i would like to match to Biasutti's Paleo-Sardinean type.
Girls from the Nuoro provinces from the brilliant Anthroeurope blog
Notice especially in the two at the extremities, common features such as the broad palate & mouth , eyeshape, the short "soft" nose..

or it might just be a Nuoro type. Cagliari born comedian Geppi Cucciari, is mentioned on Wiki as from the Nuoro province
This one below, which is essentially the Caterina Murino type, shows a stronger bone structure (cheekbones, chin, nose, which is slightly convex and i believe jaw as well) besides giving her also a pseudo ''Iranian" look, enhanced by the head scarf, her ''robusticity'' could be another example of the ''Cromagniform'' element within the "Mediterranid" observed by Agrippa.
