Default Tradition Brazilian foods and their origin

Brazilian cuisine has European, African and Amerindian influences. It varies greatly by region, reflecting the country's mix of native and immigrant populations, and its continental size as well. This has created a national cuisine marked by the preservation of regional differences
Typical food from Rio de janeiro, the second most important Brazilian State:
Farofa from the Quilombo, falofa and Feijoada

You can found Feijoada in many countries, but our is kind " different"
According to legend, the origins of Brazil’s national dish, feijoada, stem from the country’s history with slavery. Slaves would supposedly craft this hearty dish out of black beans and pork leftovers given to them from their households. These leftovers included pig feet, ears, tail, and other portions seen as unfit for the master and his family. However, this theory has recently been contested and considered more of a modern advertising technique for the dish rather than a basis for its origins. Instead, scholars argue that the history of feijoada traces back to Brazil’s cultivation of black beans.

Bacalhau de forno, typical food in many States, has Portuguese origin

Pirão, found in many States and most common dinner to eat at easter

    Origin: Native Brazilian

Moqueca capixaba is native to the state of Espírito Santo and influenced by Native Brazilian mixed with Portuguese cuisine. It's considered a softer and more tender version of moqueca.

Coxinhas were originally made with a chicken thigh, which its traditional shape is meant to resemble. In its modern processed form it may have originated in Limeira in the 19th century.

Canjica(From the Kimbundu Kanjika) is a white variety of corn, very typical of Brazilian cuisine. It is mostly used in a special kind of sweet popcorn and in a dish also known as canjica, a Festa Junina popular dish.

And we have many others foods like Lasagne, Pizza etc, São Paulo State has a lot of influence by Italians. Have you ever heard about one them? Brazilian cuisine is the best.

Is açai berry common in Brazil?

For the first time, I heard the acai bowl from the travel video over Facebook.

So, is acai bowl popular in Brazil?

Yes, we eat Pizza here and some others things from Italian cuisine because we got Italian Brazilians and their influence among us.

    I mean, acai.

It is sold in U.S. and carried at Costco.

I ate it from the sample few days ago. It tastes very healthy.
