There are about 360 million Slavic speakers in the world. It is not a homogeneous group of people. The "Slavic" cultures are very diverse. Own identity is lost when one is called a Slav. IMO that's the main reason why people from several Slavic speaking countries have an issue with that labeling.

It's not only this the main reason. It's for political purpose. They want to be considered natives in the regions where they live today. Just look the firomski, the servs, the bosniaks.

You wanted to say Slavic speakers. Right? Only weak people who need to parazit on others use the term Slavs.
And there is more than 270 Slavic speakers in Europe, well 360 in the world, right.

If you call me "sister" once again, you will be on my ignore list. I will never tell you any single word I will never read any single post by you again.
I am not your sister I have nothing in common with you. If there is a ethnic group in Europe I really have any sympathies for - then yes - it is your ethnic group. Don't ask me why, you don't want to hear it.
+ you probably can't read more than one post

Yes I wrote wrong "in Europe" I meant in the world... (est. 350-500 millions)

Apparently, Bulgarian is the oldest Slavic language.

But no, there is no such thing as a Slavic genetic group or subrace. No more than there is a Latin group, anyway.

    There is no Germanic either.

Especially you English people are genetically very mixed, and less than 1/3 of this is Germanic.

DNA of "fresh-off-the-boat" Anglo-Saxon immigrants resembled modern Scandinavians.

But they speak the only analytic Slavic language in existence. Well, yeah, I agree. They are Slavs.

Of course. Same for any of these language groups. Although the only mix the native English are in the last 1200 years is Celtic Briton and Anglo-Saxon with a bit of Danish Viking.
