Lol mestizos were wealthier than pure whites.

I was doing some research and guess what I found out? In the Philippines, the Mestizos were actually wealthier and more powerful and productive than the Whites! This was despite of the casta system that ranked pure whites (blancos) the highest in the colonial hierarchy of races.

I'm taking some excerpts from the book, "Clash of Spirits: The History of Power and Sugar Planter Hegemony on a Visayan Island" by
Filomeno V. Aguilar, Jr.

In it he describes the racial tension occurring in the Philippines between the Peninsulares, Creoles, Blancos (Whites) and Mestizos...



However, despite the institutionalized discrimination against the mestizos by the pure-bred whites, they, through sheer hard work and effort became a more productive commercial force than the whites themselves.



Thus they became wealthier than the whites...



Ultimately, the discriminated class ended up becoming more powerful than its colonizer.



So basically, what happened in the Philippines is that the mestizos out-performed the pure-whites and ended up richer and more powerful than them.

Why didn't this happen in Latin-America? Where the pure whites are the richer class to the poorer mestizos? You Latin-Americans should take a lesson from us and don't let people who don't have any single iota of indigenous descent rule over you. Mestizos should rise across the world and eclipse their blanco oppressors.

Probably because their numbers were few, they constituted the ruling class and were established far longer. There were so few pure Whites in the Philippines that if they had been there long enough to be well established as part of the elite, chances are they would've probably mixed.

But it did. Chile is richer than Iberia, and virtually everyone in Chile is a Mestizo.

There are no any pure whites there (at least I have not found any on GEDmatch).

During the Spanish times, there were only a few pure-whites (Hard to travel to the Philippines directly from Spain, hence Spain gave the job of colonizing the Philippines over to Mexico) however, by the time the Americans came, there were actually alot of pure-whites by that time.

Back when the Philippines was still an American colony there were almost about a million (800,000) pure whites living in it. which was a lot in the then 1940s Philippine total population of 17,000,000.

Americans in the Philippines currently are only about 600,000 now, which is already a considerable reduction from their pre-war high, when the Japanese massacred the whites that lived in here. (That's why I always found it strange how white-nationalists consider Japanese, honorary Aryans, when they hated white people's guts, lol)

Also, whites are sorta finicky, they can't withstand adversity, the moment wars or crises come along, they leave their colonies or places of settlement behind, this is reflected on our historical white-flight after the Japanese invasion here and in modern day South Africa, were the Afrikaners are leaving in droves or in impoverished Detroit were the white-worker has been replaced by black gangsters.

Soon they will be replaced by hardy mixed-raced people.

Well, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the 600,000 Americans in the Philippines right now are primarily ethnic Filipinos with US citizenship.
