In the Extremadura, it feels a lot like the levant.

I always wondered why MENA love to come to Phoenix, Tucson Arizona.. Dallas, Texas, etc. And then it hit me...the weather in those regions is very similar to MENA. Same reason they migrate to Iberia...the semi-arid scrub lands and deserts make them remember their homes.

Iberia has the same climate as albanian ethnic lands, that get 250 days of sun during the year.
