    Default Futur state

I don't find the old one.
Here is the thread to talk about the independant movement who might acheive their goals.

Kurds (in Irak) sounds to be closer than ever to take independance even if Russia and many other oppose to it.

    What about the other?

In one year and a half a referendum will be organyze to determine if New Caledonia (an island near new zeland https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nouvelle-Cal%C3%A9donie) will take his independance from France.
A poll said that onlly 24% support independance.
I was trully thinking the number will be igher, considering new caledonia has some natural ressource and isn't as poor as some other place.

I would say Catalans could achieve it .....but both them and Castillans are too civilised to get into an actual confict over it ......so it will take long time even if it happens eventually :

Kurdistan, if realised in full, will be quite a large country, gobbling up parts of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. I hope it happens with minimal fuss, but a lot of people will be unhappy. The Syrian and Iraqi parts are probably ripe for the picking now, but getting the Turkish and Iranian parts could be many years away.

Lol, they can only get parts from Turkey and Iran, if they lost some kind of fight like WWI.

It might seem almost impossible at first, but if the most poweful military and economic force in world history is on their side, it's far from impossible. The question is, do the US and allies want it to happen?

Do you think USA values Kurds more than Turkey as an Ally? I dont care either way what USA think. I think Turkey should leave the NATO as well and join the East bloc if they act against Turkeys interests. And suck for you that Trump seem to like Erdoğan on their meeting. BTW USA and allies.. There is only USA.

Kurds (people) vs Turkey (state)? I doubt it.

Kurdistan (possible future state) vs. Turkey (state)? I don't know. They are two different products in different (albeit overlapping) areas offering different things.

Don't get too emotional about this. I know it's your country but I'm trying to be rational here. Emotions will only cloud your judgement.

I'm glad Trump and Erdogan get along and can't see Turkey leaving NATO. In fact, if Turkey does choose to leave NATO you can be pretty sure it will face major problems.

If the US does choose to support an independent Kurdistan (going beyond traditional use of the Kurds as a means of pressuring existing states), well, we have seen what happens when the US wants to destroy a country. They make it happen.

northern epirus is different from the other separatist movements as greek presence is documented for more than 2000 years while first albanian presence is recorded only in the 14th century as invaders and migrants along with vlachs

it is also home to the greek historical site of bouthroton who also has a famous amphitheatre and the two main cities of the south albania argyrokastro and saranda carry greek names(silver-castle and saranda from agioi saranda means 40 saints)

despite being a short living entity, northern epirus already existed in the past as an autonomous state under georgios zografos
