Latinos/mestizos: what do people notice more?

Do they notice your features or your skin tone more? Even though I'm light skinned it seems like people notice my skin tone more. It's not peach/orangey like the typical white person. It's more ashy.

People where I am think people in Spain and people from Mexico look the same so it's possibly just skin tone for me. Nobody pays attention to features from my experience
