Because they are socialists. I oppose socialism at all opportunities. The PA is NOT socialist at all. I would support Hamas before I supported a socialist Palestinian resistance organization.

Tunisia is very westernized thats true (perhaps the most westernized Arab country after Lebanon and followed by Algeria and then Morocco), especially the big cities but there is really an increase of extremism, many ISIS members are Tunisians and the economic situation decreased a lot as well...

I think the westernization and after the end/fail of Ben Ali, some Tunisians felt a nostalgia and wanted to come back to "traditions"... btw many Tunisians regret Ben Ali...the corruption is about the same than before
i loved Tunisia though, nice country to visit.

Algeria is not westernized even if some people like to speak French it's even a quiet close country
People envy westerns development in technology or economy but they are not seen as a reference

^ Morocco is more modern than Algeria. And as you said Algeria is an isolated country less open to the world than Morocco. Actually, Morocco is the most visited country of Africa . They are more used to see western people in their country, the way western people behave is probably less alien to them. I'm not surprised to see it's one of the most popular countries in this poll considering it's a trendy holiday destination and the 2nd most modern country in this region. I knew Egypt was also going to be liked here but it's thanks to Ancient Egypt (the pyramids..).

Algeria just seems relatively quiet and laid back in comparison to the others.
