Default Repression of blasphemy and religious defamation - The world map

This map was published by the Pew Research Center in November 2012

-Countries like the USA, most of Latin America, East Asia, Africa and Oceania don't repress any religious outrage.

-Religious defamation is punished in pratically all Europe, India, Thailand, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela and African countries like South Africa, Kenya and Mali, for example. (Blasphemy is punished in Germany, Italy and Poland)

-Unsurprisingly, Muslim countries are the least tolerant in matter of outrageous religious practices, especially in the Middle East, where defamation, blasphemy and apostasy are severely condemned by Sharia law, with possible death penalty.

-Turkey, Maghreb, Muslim SSA countries, Malaysia and Indonesia are the most tolerant among Muslim nations. Very often, only blasphemy (just like in Germany, Italy or Poland) or simply defamation are repressed (Tunisia, Mali, Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan, Bangladesh and Malaysia).

I think it's fair enough to punish defamation. Too much freedom can be prejudicial to religious minorities.

One good example: innocent Muslims in Orlando who had to endure slurs, insults and threats after the Orlando massacre last year.

Our relation with religion, is similar to the relation of Germans with emigration. They don't like emigrants, but they can't do much because of what they did in the near past in the name of a pure race. We don't like religion either, but we have to tolerate it because of what we did to them not so long ago.
    However, this can't last forever.

Who told you that Germans don't like immigrants? If it was true, Merkel would have dismissed and AFD would rule Germany.

There was a video when a little (I think Syrian) girl was saying that she was so happy to be in Germany and the great opportunities that Germany offered, and Merkel said that however you'll have to return back when it's all over, the little girl started to cry, and it was after that that Germany opened the doors to emigrants. However, many Germans are not happy with emigrants.

Defamation of religions never gave jail in Brazil. Brazilian evangelicals always defamed Roman Catholic Church and defamed each other and I never had notice about some prison.

If exists such law, it is used only to solve polical rivalries than defend some faith.
