Wouldn't it make the tourists sick as their immune system isn't used to that stuff?

A lot of this stuff seems like it could be from Thailand, maybe the Thai kitchen has some influence from China, at least the central Thai part.

I don't know. Never heard of people getting sick from it. It's probably just crunchy protein.

It's not a common thing. And different regions eat different foods. China is a huge country, bigger than Europe. The Cantonese eat the most exotic foods, they eat pretty much anything. While there are other regions where they eat much less limited meats.

Well, Sichuan is in Southwest China, it is famous for it's very spicy cuisine. So perhaps there is some cross over with Northern Thailand and Burma as far as the food goes. But FME, it is really quite different from Thai food. Also, the type of Chilis they use is very different.

Yeah ok, though I've had those noodles or very similar in Bangkok. This Chengdu cuisine looks really fresh and green.

I've had a lot of Thai food, and although some of it looks similar to Sichuan food, the actual taste is quite different. But the one dish that might be similar, is the use of peanut sauce in some of the dishes.

    I would

I'm not even worried about getting sick, since I basically eat things out of the garbage if they're thrown away and still in good condition
