Canada and USA similarities!! I think our two Anglophone Countries are very similar!

It's striking how similar Canada is to the U.S. but Montreal is like a satellite of France with its highly developed public transportation system. Canada is also more in line with Europe when it comes to liberal policies, quasi-legal marijuana, harm-reduction centered drug treatment, National Health Service, OTC tylenol with codeine, disability discounts for cuddling houses and prostitution, etc. In these ways Canada is superior to the U.S.

They shouldn't have changed their flag. If you swear an oath to the Queen, whether semantically the "Queen of Canada" or not, you're still essentially a British dominion (government stationary is still legally allowed to use the descriptor "Dominion of Canada").

I have been to Montreal and it is very interesting. Some parts of Maine and Vermont may be similar to Liberal Canadian politics and they have French Speakers also.

Many parts of Canada are more similar to their adjacent parts of the US, than that part of the US to the other end of the country.

Canada doesn't feel foreign. Maybe Quebec.

Americans almost exclusively refer to themselves as Americans, Canadians often refer to themselves as "North Americans" in order to tie themselves to America in their self reference. This shows more or less the imitation they are of the U.S and how their own identity is tied to the U.S but also shows that it definitely is not the other way around.

The United States of America is the only country in the Americas' that has the word America in it's name. USA citizens are Americans I would say.
