    Tacos are not common in S. America. Chilis are not used as the main ingredient in S. American cuisine so theirs is less spicy compared to the spicy level in the Mexican food. S. Americans don't use the maize flour as much as Mexicans do. My observation.

    Mexico is a single a country and cultural region and similiar biomes while South America is a goddamn continent with many cultural complexes and biomes; Even with the common influence of Spanish cuisine, there is still the fact that the cultures developed in areas with different native cultures for influences, and different geographical conditions that lead to an availablity of differnt ingredients
