Mama. Mom is an English word we don't use.

Some people use variants like moeke, but I always said mama. Ma or moe sound a bit rude to me. That's a word for a matriarchal figure with many children, could work for such mothers.

I called my paternal grandmother 'moemoe', by the way. And my father called her 'ons moe'.

AAAAH! Why do people call their moms by their first names? I only call my mom by her first name if I am trying to get her attention in a crowd and she doesnt hear me say 'mom'. It seems so disrepectful.

Yeah. Or calling your aunts or uncles like that. It's considered impolite for a nephew or niece to not say uncle or aunt before their name here.
My father would correct me if I didn't do that. "You're supposed to say 'Nonkel Mon', not Raymond."
