I am going to cast aside the fact that no Turk scored a single point or that Obradovic won his 9th title with his 5th team (5 of them with Panathinaikos!)

Let's concentrate on the facts:

Basketball, like all popular sports, is useful for distracting idiots, especially pisspoor idiots. The relationship between football and dictatorships is well known:

Nevertheless, the situation in Turkey is by far more complex. You see, Fenerbahce is actually opposing the local dictator, and it's win added to his headaches. What nobody reported about the final is that Sultan Mad Terrorist wanted to see the match - together with no less than 500 security personnel - but the Euroleague denied the request because, how the hell do you tell to 501 folks who payed for their tickets that they won't see the game???

Anyway, let's concentrate on the good and the bad that happened during this final:

The good news is that the most hated team in Greece lost.

The bad news is that the Turks lost the chance to blow up Sultan Mad Terrorist and 500 of his goons and thus get rid of their dictatorship. I doubt they'll ever have another chance to do so, and trust me, if the lunatic is capable of preventing the best Turkish player playing for the national Turkish basketball team, you can guess what he shall do with Fenerbahce which is designated as an enemy of his regime...

Good luck idiots, you shall need it soon...
