Glasses, myopic and astigmatic. From mother.
My eyes are too sensitive for contact lenses. Tried it, doesn't work for me.

Hyperopia. But it's not genetic, I sustained an injury to my eye that did permanent damage (most pain I ever experienced in my life, BTW), I did not need glasses before that.
Only need glasses for driving, and it's a very weak prescription. They don't even make contacts in my prescription. I can drive without my glasses but I get a splitting headache.

As a child astyghmatic then I recovered but soon started to develop myopia , as years went by myopia progresses and I had to change every year or so the specs , then I got fed up , gave up updateing glasses and myopia stopped to go on , the secret is that you must not let your eyes adapt , that is working too comfortably.
If you choose glasses that makes you look perfectly pretty soon your eyes will work at a worse pace and you will need another pair , and so on...

I have an astigmatism, have been proscribed glasses, and am supposed to wear them. Sometimes I toy with wearing them around town, just to see if girls react differently.

I've worn contacts since I was 14 or 15. My eyesight is -5.25 for the left eye and -5.75 for the right.

Glasses
I have worn glasses for half of my life. By age 40, my arms had got too short for comfortable reading. Also, I had developed severe astigmatism which was noticeable mainly when the iris was widely open. Night driving became nearly impossible because traffic signals had become clusters of coloured blobs.
Putting things into my eyes, and, worse, taking them out again, does not appeal to me, so I have always worn spectacles , "horn-rimmed" bifocals to be exact. Having had cataract operations in both eyes, twenty years apart, I now have two "bionic" lenses. The prescriptions for my specs, therefore, should never need changing.
They correct my vision to 20/20, so I am quite satisfied.
