Default POOL: Do Balkanic Orthodox care about their Religion?

Turks "for some crazy reason" think that they are not considered welcome in Europe because they are not secular enough.
They believe that if they become secular or atheist - that is gonna make them more acceptable by Europeans -> namely Balkan people.

I do live with Orthodox Christians every day, some of them are cousins, some of them are neighbors and NONE of them are Atheists, in fact
Balkanic people are extremely fond of their Religion and would defend it by any means necessary.

I am creating a pool here on Greek forum (and I hereby invite Romanians and Bulgarians) just to prove that I am RIGHT and that Turks are misguided and wrong.
I want to prove that Balkan people don't like the Atheists in any way (As Turks want to present themselves).

    Poll Question:

"Do you as Orthodox Christian consider your Religion Important in everyday of life?"

(Question is Public and for Orthodox Christians only)

I doubt they want to look more acceptable in the eyes of the Balkan nations, most of them don't even a voice in the E.U. If anything you probably mean Western European nations like Germany, since Turkey GDP is probably higher than all of the Balkans combined and their quality of life is by no means worse than, lets say, Bosnia.

Well How can they Join EU, if Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia (Balkanic states) dislike them? Of course they want to become more friendly with everyone on balkans thinking
that Atheism is the way here lol. Greece will never accept their BID into EU anyway.

The only nation that really poses a "threat" in the negotiations for admitting Turkey in the E.U. from the ones you mentioned is only Greece, due to border conflicts and the issue of Cyprus.

What about Serbs? Aren't they Orthodox, too?

And regarding Romanians, the younger generation is not religious at all.

Greece and Greeks are not Balkan. Anyway, I said it in an earlier thread, I'll say it again, the only reason that religion is still politically important in Greece is because Greece is the only successor/heir of the Byzantine Empire and because of the many old people. Greeks are very irreligious and people go to church only in Christmas and Easter. And most people don't go to church even on these 2 holidays.
