Last Name of my family is found among: Serbs, Croats, Macedonians, Greeks maybe even Albanians but I am not sure.

It is highly unlikely that we are slavs for many reasons.

1. Last Name
2. Pretty much everyone in my family has med skin color
3. We came in 11th century from Montenegro which was a Byzantine territory back then.

So please stop call us Slavs, There are some of us who ARE slavs, but we are not.

1) Accept the reality as it is. There is nothing wrong being part of a slavic nation. And i think this is the best way.
2)Start to search your ethnic roots, if this is possible and if you are successful in this enterprise, start to identify with this ethnic group but as a first step, start to learn and use the language of this ethnic group together with your family members in your daily life. Or you can avoid all this research, chose something in the basket and always, start the process with the language.
