Default How many people get a christmas gift from you and how much do you spend usually?

December knocks on the door, some might already started gift shopping or will soon. So Im curious. Only my mum and my sister get a gift, one friend might get a christmas card. But only my mum and my sister get a gift. 50€ for both not more.

I give gifts to colleagues, friends, doctors, etc., & family. Might sound odd but where I spent some years you're expected to give gifts to (certain) people at year's end & I've never really shaken that mentality. The last (family) is more of the "Christmas spirit".

Gifts are nothing elaborate or expensive. Mostly bonbons, fruit or liquor flavored/filled chocolates, occasionally truffles, soaps, candles, etc. Little things that I know they'll either like or put to use.

Yeah, it's "Secret Santa" to Americans. In my case, it'd be Kris Kringel (UK). That was actually quite a bit of fun now that you mentioned it. The idea to give gifts to friends, colleagues, etc. comes from East Asia.
