This is untrue on both sides. It's definitely not impossible for Greeks to keep their identity and have a moderate Muslim religion. Albanians are culturally similar to Greeks and they have a Muslim religion. Those times had more to do with issues between Greece and Turkey than anything else.

Politics and economics in particular differ more between the different European countries and regions than many realise. Not just in the sense that some European countries are poorer, more corrupt or more unequal than others, but that some are more socialist-oriented (principally Scandinavia and arguably France, Benelux and even Merkel's Germany too), while others have lower taxes, more private ownership and less state welfare (rest of the continent, to varying degrees).

As far as Scandinavia being socialist-oriented, would you say that Finland is on even ground with Norway and Sweden, or different?

Do you see some countries as being more socially conservative ("classy") than others in central/east/southern Europe, and others on the more socially liberal end of the spectrum? Not so much gay marriage, prostitution, all that, just everyday mannerisms?

Of course muslims from all over the world share some similarities. The muslim kinship is quite real in the new world. Everyone from Albanians to Syrians to Malaysians to Somalians to Afghans to New World Converts have similar life principles, values, and traditions to a certain degree..that's not to say that said groups don't have their own respective cultures, but acting like muslims don't have anything in common is also wrong too. Muslims, like Jews, are the only two Abrahamic religions with an underlying culture (to some degree) that you find across all of the followers. Moderate Islam is practiced the same way throughout the world, whereas Christianity has several branches more specific to certain ethnic groups. Islam only has Shia vs Sunni, and even then, they aren't that different.
