It happened in Sakarya, in north western Turkey. A man attacks Atatürk statue with axe then people nearby in the square beat the sh!t out of him. Assaulter taken to hospital then to prison İ guess

They didnt give more information. First they said he is Syrian but then they said no he is citizen of Turkey. So maybe that's true he is radicalised but not yet clear. It's sick to attack a statue with an axe. The city is ultra conservative and pro government btw.
