I prefer to order this on a site based in the united states or others, because in France, because this kind of caliper is not found (those to measure the human skull)...

No, it's just for my skull, i tried several times to measure it with various methods but it is not possible (it's like kissing yourself, you know? very difficult).

The best possible homemade way to do it is to use sliding wardrobe doors.

You just place your head in between and close until it grips tight,then you slowly remove your head without displacing the doors from the position they are in at your head.

This can be done for both.length and width but not very effective for facial bones measure(,jaw bigonial,bizygomatics)
