How English sounds to non-English people.

With the exception of the Peruvian singer and the Bulgarian singer, does anyone else notice the clear sound the world considers us English to sound like?

The sound I hear from these people is Germanic. Whether Dutch or German, the sound created is so strongly Germanic that it is amazing to think the English language has so many loanwords and other foreign foibles.

What do other non-English members imagine the English language to sound like? I'd be very interested to hear.

I read somewhere that Danes say we talk like we have a tatter in our mouths, maybe you could ask a few on here.
I asked a Chileno mate of mine once and they said its nothing like German, more akin to French or even Spanish due to the large amount of Romance words in it.

Polish accent sounds often thick but i do understand them very well.

Specially French guy and Celentano fake English sound to me like real English from which I am not taking attention. Listening English required from me a conscient effort to compose in my mind the real words and phrases, if not I just get around 30% of what it's said. It's amazing how much English and Spanish are related at syntactical level and how little they're at phonetical and morphological(excluding all the Latinisms o.c.)
