    Default R-U152 in Sicily???

My 23 and me came back and said my paternal haplogroup is R-U152. My father's father was from Enna, Sicily. Trying to find more info on this particular branch and how it came into Sicily. The few things I can find on R-U152 don't show it going too far south into Italy......

in my opinion U152 is recent arrival in sicily from northern italy. Original sicilian R1b is P312.

It could be also Italic or Roman in Sicily.

R1b-U152 is an Italo-Celtic branch of R1b and is associated with Alpine Celts from the Hallstatt culture, it probably expanded or shifted from the Alps after 1800BCE which is before the migration of the Italic tribes in Italy. http://www.eupedia.com/europe/Haplog...shtml#S28-U152

The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...

This haplogroup in Sicily especially inland regions could be from Lombards who settled there.

R1b clades (U-152/S28 and DF27) don't really look Italo-Celtic but rather (Rheto-)Etrusko-Tyrsenian, (Ibero-)Vasconic instead. U152 is not an Italic marker because it peaks in former Etruria and is much lower in the lands where Italics lived.

R1b-U152 also peaks in Turkic speakers (Northern Bashkirs, over ~70% of whom were U152 in Myres et al. 2010)

Etruscan, Hurrian and Northeast Caucasian languages are connected due to post-Sumerian proto-Turkic R1b-dominated Kura-Araxes culture.

I was under the impression that this haplo group was Roman in nature from what I read.
