I'm genetically inclined not to get depressed. I've had a bad run with baseball these past two weeks. Instead of getting depressed I get angry at myself and then I consider whether it's just a question of chance or whether I'm making an error. It's important to be honest with yourself (am I being lazy? Am I putting in the work necessary? Am I triple checking? Am I looking at all the variables or looking at a few and if content moving on? Am I being impatient? Am I bored? Do I need a break so when I come back to it I come back fresh and interested?)

Errors are often made out of boredom. You naturally get bored playing poker. Especially if there is no variation in the games played. You need time off to rekindle an interest.

As far the discipline part is easier said than done of course, always.
